Who We Are

ABOUT Crockett & Co Solicitors

Crockett & Co Solicitors was formed in 1991 by Helen Crockett who was at the time the only female Sole Practitioner/Solicitor in Leeds. Helen is a member of the Children Panel and also the Family Law Advanced Panel. The practice was based in Park Square in the centre of Leeds until 1993 when it moved to its present location in Harehills, being at the heart of the community it serves to help.

Here at Crockett & Co we know that even choosing and making that first contact with a solicitor can be a daunting and scary prospect. No doubt if you require our services, you are already going through a difficult time in your private and family life. We pride ourselves in providing a personal service, so from the moment that you make contact with us, you can be assured that you are in a safe and caring pair of hands. All our teams, from our receptionist to our most senior solicitors, are friendly, approachable and down to earth. We aim to provide sensible, honest and jargon free advice at all times, whilst maintaining the highest level of professionalism and dedication to your case. Our team has a wealth of experience dealing with the most complex of matters that can come before the family court.

The practice includes our Principal Solicitor, Helen Crockett and our team listed on our team page.

The firms primary focus is childcare law, including care proceedings where children are removed from their parents due to neglect, injury, physical abuse, sexual abuse, or beyond parental control, plus non-molestation injunctions, private law children proceedings and divorce.

We are able to take on urgent legal work and represent you in a court hearing, often the same day. We believe passionately that everybody, whatever their circumstances or background, has the right to be represented to keep them safe from harm and injury.

The firm accepts instructions from both publicly funded and private paying clients. Please speak to a member of our team to discuss potential costs and packages available.

The practice has formed close ties with Womens Aid and Gipsil, has connections with many local primary schools and operates a drop in centre for the local community at the office on a daily basis.
